Let x be the selling price.

Thus, given that the marked price is Rs 450,

     x + \frac{5x}{100} = 450

or, \frac{105x}{100} = 450

or, 105x = 45000

or, x = \frac{45000}{105} = Rs 428.5 (approx.)

Thus, the selling price is Rs 428.5.
