  • Let the acceleration be a say.
  • Let the force be F say.
  • If the force is doubled = 2F
  • Let the mass of body be m say
  • If the mass is doubled = 2m.

According to the Newton second law of motion,

  • For = ma

substitute the above values in the equation,

  • 2F = 2m × a
  • a = 2F/2m
  • a = F/m

Therefore, if the mass and force of the object is doubled the acceleration remains constant.
