If mass of 1 lit of water is 1 kg then what is the density of water?

Mass of water =M=1kg=1000 gm

Volume of water =V=1 lit=1000 cc

So density =¶=M/V

=1 kg/lit

= 1000/1000 gm/cc

=1 gm/cc
