Option C is right.

  • Mass of body, m = 30 kg

  • Acceleration due to gravity on earth, g = 10 m/s²

We know that,

Acceleration due to gravity on moon is one sixth of the acceleration due to gravity on earth.

Let g' be the acceleration due to gravity on moon.

g' = g/6

Weight is defined as the force of gravity acting on an object.

Force = ma

Weight on moon = mass × acceleration due to gravity on moon

w = mg' \\  \\ w = m \times  \frac{g}{6}  \\  \\  = 30 \times  \frac{10}{6}  \\  \\  =  \frac{30}{6}  \times 10 \\  \\  = 5 \times 10 \\  \\ w = 50 \: newton

The weight of the body on moon is 50 N.
