Yo !

Force = 7500 N

New acceleration = 2.5 m/s^2

Question:-

  • If mass of a car is 1500 kg is moving with an accelaration of 5m/s² calculate force applied. If force is reduced to half then what would be the accelaration of car

Given:-

  • Mass of car ( m ) = 1500 kg
  • accelaration of car ( a ) = 5 m/s²

Find:- Applied force & Accelaration

{ Applied Force ( F ) & when force is reduced to half then what would be the accelaration ( a ) of car }

Formula:-

F = m × a

Solution:-

{ According to que & formula & given}

=> F = m × a

=> F = 1500 × 5

=> F = 7500 N or kg m/s² ..... ( 1 )

{ According to que & from ( 1 ) }

{force is reduced to half then what would be the accelaration of car}

=> New force of car ( F )

= {½ × 7500} N

=> New force of car ( F )

= 3750 N ...( 2 )

Now,

{ According to formula & from ( 2 ) & from given }

=> F = m × a

=> 3750 = 1500 × a i.e.

=> a = 3750/1500

=> a = 5/2

=> a = 2.5 m/s²

Hence applied force is 7500 N and accelaration of car is 2.5 m/s² .
