8×1/4 = 2g atom

Then increase in mass due to 25% increase in mass of proton = 8+2 = 10g atom

50% of 8 neutrons

8×1/2 = 4g atom

Then decrease in mass due to 50% decrease in mass of neutron = 8-4 = 4g atom

There is no effect of electrons on mass of atom as their mass is negligible.

Therefore,

New mass = 10+4 = 14g atom
