Given observations :

10,11,12,13,p and 17

Sum of the observations

= 10+11+12+13+p+17

= 63+p ----( 1 )

Number of observations = 6

Mean = 15 [ given ]

=> ( 1 )/( 2 ) = 15

=> ( 63 + p )/6 = 15

=> 63 + p = 90

=> p = 90 - 63

=> p = 27

Therefore ,

The value of p = 27
