=> mean = sum of observations / number of observations

=> so lets form an equation

=> 3 +4+x+7+10 /  5 = 6

=>24+x/5 = 6

=>24 +x = 6 *5

=>24 +x =30

=>x = 30-24

=>x = 6

valu of x is 6
