\underline{Given} : Triangle with sides 4 cm and 6cm

\underline{To find}: Possible length of third side

\underline{Solution} :

Let the length of 3rd side be \color{Red}{x}

So,
4+6>x and [triangle inequality theorem]
6-4<x [triangle inequality theorem]

So, 6+4=10 and 6-4=2
. ° . The possible range of length of sides is
\color{Green} {3<=x<=9}

Hope it helps you
