if mercury is put in the water what happens with the water

✨if mercury is put in the water it will sink in the water as density of mercury(13.6gmcm^-3or 13600kgm^-3-3)is more than water(1.0gmcm^-3) or 1000kg m^✨

Mercury is not miscible with water . mercury does not react with water under normal conditions .water will float on surface and if you create vortex ,sure some of the Mercury would be dissipate into small bubble and move in water but neither physical or chemical change will take place.
