Let Raman's income be x.It is given that Mohan's income is 25% more than Raman's income.

Then, Mohan's income = x +25 % of

x =x+ 25/100

x = x(1+25/100)

=x(100+25 / 100)

= 125 / 100

x=5 x 4

∴Raman's income as compared to Mohan's income (in %)

= Mohan's income - Raman's income / Mohan's income × 100 %

= 5x /4− 5x /4× 100%=(5x −4x/4)

(5x/ 4)×100%

=x/ 5x × 100%

=20 %
