= 2.5/2.5+55.5
= 2.5/58
= 0.043 is the mole fraction

Hola!!
2.5 M solution means, 2.5 mole solute in 1000g solution.
Considering water as solvent here,
Then, number of moles of solvent
= Weight/ molecular weight
= 1000g/18g
=55.55
Also, (mole fraction of solute =
Moles of solute / total moles)
=> 2.5/(2.5+55.56)
=> 0.043
