KE = p^2/2m
Momentum decreases by 20%
So p' = 0.8p
KE' = p'^2/2m
KE' = (0.8p)^2/2m
KE' = 0.64 p^2/2m
KE' = 0.64 KE
Decrease in KE = (1-0.64)KE = 0.36
% decrease in KE = 36%
Hope that this answer will help you
Momentum decreases by 20%
