let's initial momentum is P and initial kinetic energy is K,
and final kinetic energy is K' ........
then ,
K=P^2 / 2m......................(1)
K' = (2P)^2 / 2m...................(2)
if equation (2) is divided by equation (1),
K'/K=(2P/P)^2
K'/K= 4
on cross multiplication,
K'=4K
