m th term of an A.P = 1/n
N th term of an A.P =1/m
Now,
m-n/mn=m-n× d
1/mn=d
mn=1/d
From eq(1)
1/n=a+(m-1)/mn
a= m-m+1/mn
a = 1/mn
We know that ,
Sum of first mn terms = mn [2a + (mn - 1)d]
= mn [ 2(1/mn) + (mn-1)1/mn]
= mn [ 2/mn+1-1/mn ]
= mn [ 1/mn+1]
= 1+mn .
