Let Mukesh's age=x

So,Vishal's age=x+5

According to the question

x (x+5)=1400

x2+5x=1400

x2+5x-1400=0

x2+40x-35x-1400=0

x (x+40)-35 (x+40)=0

(x+40)(x-35)=0

x+40=0

x=-40

Impossible

x-35=0

x=35

Therefore,age of Mukesh=35 years.
