If n(A)=200, n(B)=300 and n(AuB)=400,find the value of n(AnB) and show it in veen digram

Answer:  

    Use this universal formulae for this case of question:                         n(AUB)=n(A)+n(B)-n(AnB)

 In here we want to find the value of (AnB).

                   n(AUB)=n(A)+n(B)-n(AnB)

                   400=200+300-n(AnB)

BRING THE n(AnB) ON THE LEFT HANDSIDE ,WHEN WE BRING THEM TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE IT CHANGE FROM NEGATIVE TO POSITIVE.

                n(AnB)+400=200+300

                 n(AnB)+400=500

                  NOW BRING THE 400 TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE ,IN THIS CASE WHEN WE BRING THEM TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE IT WILL CHANGE FROM POSITIVE NUMBER TO NEGATIVE NUMBER.

                    n(AnB)=500-400

                                 =100

                                  ANSWER= n(AnB)=100.
