If n is a prime number greater than 3 what is the remainder when n2 is divided by 12

  I assume you mean greater than 5, because if it were 5 2n would be smaller than 12 and their would be no answer

The easy way is to simply use an example: lets say 7

7 x 2 = 14 and 14/12 is 1 R 2

Check our answer: 13 x 2 = 26 and 26/12 is 2 R2

The answer is 2
