Resistance when resistors are connected in series,
R=r1+r2+.........+n
R/n=r -----------(1)
When connected in parallel,
1/R=1/r1+1/r2+.........+1/n
Rn=r ----------(2)
P=V/r²
P1=V/(R/n)² [From (1)]
P2=V/(Rn)² [From (2)]
Ratio= P1/P2
P1/P2=V/R²/n²*R²n²/V
=n/R²*R²n²
=1/2
So, the ratio is 1:2.
