ans-At start of this lesson the narrator introduces us a significant fact that he had a little hole near the top of his left ear lobe which was only observed by Nankaka. The next day when Nankaka came to visit the mother and when he picked the baby in his hand and he was horrified due to the fact that Nankaka did not find the any hole in left ear. In all this astonishment and fright a  search began for the author in the complete hospital, eventually the author was found to be sleeping besides a fisherwoman. The author remarks to this event because if Nankaka would have not observed the hole in his ear he would have been living a life of an obscure fisherman wandering  somewhere at the West Coast.
