If negative attracts positive, then why electron is not attracted towards a proton? Why it always makes a distance with it??

It is there natural arrangement which helps them to remain in their position their exists a weak Nuclear force between them and as you know proton are present inside the nucleus so it is completely impossible for protons to attract towards themselves...

sorry proton and electron are attracted to each other given qn. may be wrong I think so..
