If nothing can travel faster than light then how fast did the universe expand during the big bang?

your question is so logical i like your thinking aspects but the thing is people or scientists are not even clear about the big bang theory and still searching for some useful evidence into space but if we come to know about the matter which can travel faster that light ...the earth is goong to be a different planet afterwards
