15th term of AP is 47.

  • The nth term of AP is given by t_n = a+(n-1)d.
  • It is given that nth term is equal to 3n+2.

t_n = a+(n-1)d = 3n+2

  • Now equating both sides we get,

a-d = 2 ....(Equation 1)and

nd = 3n   ....(Equation 2)

Using the equation 2 , we get, d=3 and now substituting it in equation 1, we get

a = 5.

We have to find the 15th term,

we use the formula of nth term as,

t_n = a+(n-1)d

t_{15} = 5+(15-1)3

t_{15} = 5+42

t_{15} = 47
