if nth term of an AP is given by aₙ=6-12ₙ,then find common difference

$a1 = 6 - 12(1) = - 6 \\ a2 = 6 - 12(2) = 6 - 24 = - 18 \\ d = a2 - a1 = - 18 - ( - 6) = - 18 + 6 = - 12$
