Given info : number of neutrons present in 4.8g of ozone is x × 10²³ (take , Avogadro's number , Na = 6 × 10²³ and each oxygen has 8 neutrons).

To find : the value of 5x is ...

solution : molecular mass of ozone = 48 g/mol

given mass of ozone = 4.8g

so no of moles of ozone = 4.8/48 = 0.1 mol

now no of molecules of ozone = 0.1 × 6 × 10²³ = 0.6 × 10²³

we know, chemical formula of ozone is O₃, it means three atoms are present in 1 molecule of ozone.

so no atoms of oxygen in 4.8g ozone = 3 × 0.6 × 10²³ = 1.8 × 10²³

1 atom contains 8 neutrons.

so, no of neutrons in 4.8 g of ozone = 8 × 1.8 × 10²³ = 14.4 × 10²³

on comparing, we get x = 14.4

now the value of 5x = 5 × 14.4 = 72

Therefore the value of 5x is 72.
