Step-by-step explanation:

Let denominator be x

Let numerator be x-2

Rational number we get from this is

 \frac{x - 2}{x}

A.T.Q

 \frac{x - 2 - 1}{x - 1}   =  \frac{1}{2}

By cross multiplication

2(x-2-1)=1(x-1)

2(x-3)=x-1

2x-6=x-1

2x-x= -1+6

x= -5

Denominator= -5

Numerator= x-2

= -5-2

= -7

rational number=

 \frac{ - 7}{ - 5}
