let the fraction be  \frac{x}{y}
 \frac{x+ \frac{50x}{100} }{y+ \frac{200y}{100} }=\frac{1.5x}{3y}= \frac{5}{12}
 \frac{x}{y} = \frac{5}{6}

kartikbatra012: Let the numerator be x and the denominator be y.

NUMERATOR IS INCREASED BY 50%=1.5X
DENOMINATOR IS INCREASED BY 200%=2Y
SO
2.5X/3Y=5/12
X/Y=5*3/12*2.5
X/Y=2/4=1/2
