To Find:

Find the value of X in each of the following figures.

Solution:

(i) In the first figure, ΔBOD,

angle OBC = 40°

and angle OBC + angle DAO =90°

So, angle DAO = 90° - 40° = 50°

Now, angle DAO + angle BDO = 90°

so, angle BDO = X= 90° - 50° = 40°
