Hello !!!

Here is your answer.

Let the number be x.
Then, its 1/3 = x/3, and
2/7 of the same number = 2x/7

Given that ⅓ of number exceeds 2/7 of the number by 1....
So,
 \frac{x}{3}  -  \frac{2x}{7}  = 1 \\  \frac{7x - 6x}{21}  = 1
x/21 = 1
Therefore, x = 21.

Hence the number is 21.

Heya !!

Let number be X.

1/3 of X = 1/3 × X = X/3

And,

2/7 of X = 2/7 × X = 2X/7.

According to question,

X/3 = 2X/7 + 1

X/3 = 2X + 7/7

7X = 6X + 21

7X - 6X = 21

X = 21.

Hence,

Number = X= 21
