Given :-

If on a round trip you travel 6 km and then alive back home.

To Find :-

Distance covered

Final displacement

Solution :-

Case 1 :-

We traveled 6 km when going to trip and 6 km when coming back home.

So,

Distance = 6 km + 6 km

Distance = 12 km

\huge{\boxed{\blue{\sf{Distance = 12 \: Km}}}}

Case 2 :-

We know that,

Displacement is the shortest path from initial position to final position.

So, when we came back home displacement became zero(0).

Displacement = 0

\huge{\boxed{\blue{\sf{Displacement = 0 }}}}

⬇️(a) Distance travelled = 6 km

⬇️(b) Displacement = zero(since final position is same as initial position)
