The distance is 6km
The displacement is 0 as you reach the same place
Velocity=displacement/time
0/1=0

hey dear
here is your answer

total distance covered = 6+6 = 12 km

time taken to cover = 1 hour

so, displacement is the shortest path covered in a definite time.here, the displacement will be zero as the Person started his journey from home and come back again to home after 1 hour.

now,

=> velocity = displacement / time taken

velocity = 0/1

velocity = 0

=> speed = distance / time taken

speed = 12/1

speed = 12 km/hr

hope it helps :)
