If on division of a polynomial (px) by a polynomial g(x) the quotient is zero, what is the relation?​

By, Division Algorithm, we have

p(x)=g(x)q(x)+r(x)

If, on division of p(x) by g(x) the quotient is 0, then the degp(x)<degg(x)

Ex: p(x)=x+1 and g(x)=x^2−1

Here, the quotient is 0 and the degp(x)<degg(x) ie 1<2
