Tobacco cultivation is the earning of more than 5% of people living in India. It's ban will lead to a loss of livelihood of innumerable people, especially those involved in cultivation of the crop. Cigarette industry is one of the highest tax paying industries as it is supposed to give as much as 50% of the revenue in taxes. So we cannot ban tobacco as it will only lead to increase in crime rates and black markets.
