If one adrenal gland is removed,the other one gets enlarged to some extent.How do you explain this change??

When one gland is absent, to compensate the loss as well as the other gland gets pressure maintains the normal body requirements.
On the whole, other gland also gets a bit enlarged.
Considering that one of a pair of adrenal gland disappears completely.
If one adrenal gland is removed, the other one gets enlarged.

This enlargement occurs due to the desire of our body to maintain the normal conditions. So, when one adrenal gland is removed,to fulfill the requirements of our body other gland of the pair is enlarged to some extent.
