Given : one angle of a linear pair is acute,

To Find : other angle will be

Solution:

Acute angles < 90°

90 ° < obtuse angle < 180°

Linear pairs adds up to 180°

one angle of a linear pair is acute,

Let say that angle is A

then A  <  90°

=> A = 90° - x     where  90° > x  > 0°

Other angle would be 180° - A

= 180° - (90 - x)

= 90° + x

90° > x  > 0°

180° > other angle > 90°

=> 90 ° < other angle < 180°

Hence other angle is Obtuse angle

If one angle of a linear pair is acute, then the other angle will be OBTUSE

in a Linear Pair always one angle is acute and other is obtuse except where both angles are right angles
