Answer:

let angle = x

ratio = 1:2

then one angle is x and other is 2x

we know

sum of the three angle = 180

x + 2x + 60 = 180

3x + 60 = 180

3x = 120

x = 40

so

x = 40

2x = 80

Answer:

Given :-

  • One angle of a triangle is 60° and other two are in the ratio of 1:2.

To Find :-

  • What are the angles.

Solution :-

Let, the other angle be x

And, the second angle be 2x

We know that,

Sum of three angle = 180°

According to the question by using the formula we get

x + 2x + 60° = 180°

3x = 180° - 60°

3x = 120°

x = \dfrac{\cancel{120°}}{\cancel{3}}

x = 40°

Hence, the required angles are,

Other angle = x = 40°

Second angle = 2x = 2 × 40° = 80°

The angles are 40° and 80°.

\rule{300}{1.5}

Let's Verify :-

x + 2x + 60° = 180°

3x + 60° = 180°

Put x = 40° we get,

3(40°) + 60° = 180°

120° + 60° = 180°

180° = 180°

LHS = RHS

Hence, Verified
