Answer:

Sum of angles of triangle =180°

80+2x+3x=180°

5x=180-80

x=100°÷5

x=20°

other angles are 40 and 60°

Correct Question :–

if one angle of a triangle is 80° and othere angles are in the ratio of 2 : 3, find the angles.

Answer :–

  • Other angles are 40° and 60°.

Given :–

  • One angle of a triangle = 80°.
  • Other angles are in ratio = 2 : 3.

To Find :–

  • The other two angles of a triangle.

Solution :–

Let,

• The first angle be 2x.

• The second angle be 3x.

We know that,

Sum of all angles of a triangle = 180°

I.e.,

 \angle1 +  \angle2 +  \angle3 = 180 \degree \:  \: –––––(1)

Here the values are,

  •  \angle1 = 2x
  •  \angle2 = 3x
  •  \angle3 = 80 \degree

2x + 3x + 80 \degree = 180 \degree

5x + 80 \degree = 180  \degree

5x = 180 \degree - 80 \degree

5x = 100 \degree

x =  \dfrac{ \cancel{100} \degree}{ \cancel{5} \degree}

x = 20 \degree

So, the angles are,

• First angle = 2x = 2 × 20° = 40°.

• Second angle = 3x = 3 × 20° = 60°.

Hence,

The other angles are 40° and 60°.

Check :–

Now, put all the values in equation (1).

Values are,

  • First angle = 40°.
  • Second angle = 60°.
  • Third angle = 80°.

→ 40° + 60° + 80° = 180°

→ 100° + 80° = 180°

→ 180° = 180°

Since, The L.H.S. and the R.H.S. are equal.

So, the value of the other angles are 40° and 60° is correct.
