Sum of all angles = 180°

=x+y+z=180°

=y+y+90°=180° (because x=y)

=2y+90°=180°

=2y=180°-90°

=2y=90°

=y=90°/2

=y=45°=x

So, if the angle x and y = 45°, then it is a right angle triangle.
