Step-by-step explanation:

Let the fraction be a/b

then a/(b+1) = 1/2 ==> 2a = b+ 1

and (a+1)/b = 1 ==> b = a+ 1

so 2a = a+ 1 + 1

==> a = 2

and b = 3

so. 2/3

Let the fraction be a/b

If 1 is added to the denominator of a fraction, the fraction becomes 1/2

a/b+1=12

2a=b+1

b=2a−1−(i)

If 1 is added to the numerator, the fraction becomes 1

a+1/b=1

a+1=b

a+1=2a−1 [from (i)]

a=2

Putting value of a into (i)

b=2∗2−1

b=3

So, the fraction is 2/3
