Hey there!

Given word = ADDED.

Sample space = { A, D , E }

n(S) = 5

Let the A be the events of letter choosen is A

A = { A }

n(A) = 1 .

Now ,Probability that letter choosen is " a " = P(A) = n(A) / n(S) = 1/5 .

Hope helped!
