If one mole of a gas A (mol.wt-40) occupies a
volume of 20litres, under the same conditions of
temperature and pressure the volume occupied by
2 moles of gas B (mol.wt=80) is
1) 80 L
2) 60 L

Answer:

80 l

Explanation:

calculate mass of gas A using formula mole=mass/molar mass

thus, gas A's mass = 1 x 40 = 40gm

similarly, gas B's mass = 2 x 80 = 160gm

now,

if 40 gm gas occupies 20L

then 160gm occupies - x

using unitary method,

x = 20/40 x 160

= 80 L
