If one natural number is 4 times another and their sum is 65, find the numbers.

And, the Second number is 4 times the first number,

So, Second number = 4x.

According to the Question,

Their sum = 65.

So,

➨ 4x + x = 65.

➨ 5x = 65.

➨ x = 65 ÷ 5.

x = 13.

Therefore,

  • First Number = x = 13.
  • Second Number = 4x = 52.

VERIFICATION :-

➨ 4x + x = 65.

➨ 52 + 13 = 65.
