if one of the angles forming a linear pair is four times that of the other then find the angles

Linear pair angles are supplementary......(1)
let the one of the angles be 4x.
Let the other angle be x .
Frm (1).. 4x + x = 180°
5x= 180
x = 36°
4x = 4*36... 144
x = 36
Answer is 144° and 36°

Let One angle=x
Then second angle=4x
x+4x=180 (Linear pair)
5x=180
x=180÷5
x=36 -One angle
Second angle= 4×36
=144
