\large{\mathfrak{\underline{\underline{Answer :-}}}}

Given :

p(x) = - 7x + k = 0

⟹ First root (α) = -2

⟹ a = 1

⟹ b = 7

To Find :-

⇒ Other root (β) = ?

Solution :-

Using Formula

\huge{\boxed{\boxed{\alpha \: + \:</p><p>\beta \: = \: \frac{-b}{a}}}}

___________[Putting values]

⇒ - 2 + β = -7/1

⇒ β= −7 + 2

⇒ β = −5

\huge{\boxed{\boxed{Other \: root \:-5}}}
