Given quadratic equation:-

x²-3x-10=0

So let's factorize it using splitting the middle term:-

So we need 2 numbers whose sum is -3 and product is 10 .

So the numbers are -5 and -2

So we can write :-

x²-3x-10=0 as x²-5x+2x-10

x²-5x+2x-10=0

x(x-5)+2(x-5)=0

(x+2)(x-5)=0

x+2=0 and x-5=0

x=-2 and x=5

So the other root will be 5 ,So opt[A] is correct .
