2x² –7x + 3 = 0

a = 2

b = – 7

c = 3

Let β be the other root of the above equation

sum of the roots = – b / a

3 + β = 7 / 2

β = 7/2 – 3

β = ( 7 – 6 ) / 2

β = 1/2

( b ) 1/2 is the correct answer
