Comparing the given polynomial with ax²+bx+c=0

a=2, b=-3 and c=p

Sum of zeroes =α+β=-b/a=3/2

One of the zero of the polynomial is 3

Therefore, α=3

α+β=3/2

3+β=3/2

 \beta  =  \frac{3}{2}  - 3 =  \frac{3 - 6}{2}  =  \frac{ - 3}{2}  \\

Product of zeroes =αβ=c/a=3×-3/2=-9/2

c=p

Therefore, p=-9
