Answer:

Given :- A quadratic polynomial whose zeroes are equal in magnitude but opposite in sign.

To find :- Value of k

Solution:-

f(x)= 4x^2-8k-9

let the zeroes be m and n

sum of zeroes= -b/a

m+n= -(-8k)/4

0= 8k/4

8k= 0

k= 0

Answer:

Let one root of the given polynomial be a

Then the other root = -a

therefore, Sum of the roots = (−a) +a=0

⇒a−b=0 or 48k or k=0
