Let p(x) = k - 1x^2 + 1
One of the zeroes is -3
p(-3) = k - 1*(-3)^2 + 1
p(-3) = k - 9 + 1
p(-3) = k - 8
k - 8 = 0
k = 8
Hope it helps :)

(k-1)x²+1
=(k-1)3²+1
=9k-9+1
=9k-8
=k=8/9
=(k-1)3²+1
=9k-9+1
=9k-8
=k=8/9
