Solution :

Let p(x) = 2x² + 3kx + 5

If x = 2 is a root of p(x) a then ,

p(2) = 0

=> 2(2²) + 3k(2) + 5 = 0

=> 8 + 6k + 5 = 0

=> 13 + 6k = 0

=> 6k = - 13

=> k = -13/6
